Chevrolet Volt ????The Volt isn't doing much better than the Leaf. After hitting a record 2,289 sales in March, the numbers sagged to 1,402 for the month of April and 1,680 in May, for a total of 7,057 thus far in 2012 -- a rate well below the 45,000 GM had forecast for this year. Chairman and CEO Dan Akerson likes to remind skeptics that he's driven his Volt 3,000 miles on a single tank of gas, but he also has a short commute to downtown Detroit and charges up every night. |
